Vevey-Switzerland Wedding at Le Mirador Hotel in Mont-Pélerin
We were lucky enough to capture the beautiful destination wedding of L&C at Le Mirador Resort & Spa Hotel in Vevey, Switzerland.
L&C have a great taste and this led them to chose the Le Mirador Resort & Spa Hotel in Vevey for its idyllic location on Mont – Pélerin, with stunning mountain views of the Swiss & the French Alps, overlooking the vineyard terraces and the peacefulness of Lac Leman. Mont – Pélerin is easy to reach by car or a little funicular train from the charming historical town of Vevey on Geneva Lake.
The decision to host the whole wedding celebration at the hotel area, allowed L&C to simply enjoy and relax into their special day, as well as for all the guests, who travelled from different parts around the world, and were staying in Vevey during the wedding weekend.
Our day started with L’s preparations in her spacious luxurious room at Le Mirador Hotel, full of daylight, and a big balcony overlooking the Geneva Lake. L wore a dream fitted long lace wedding dress, with an open back. A set of matching earrings, necklace and a unique hairpiece in the elegant gorgeous updo hairstyle. She also chose a beautiful classic white bouquet to complete her elegant stunning look. C wore an elegant formal dark grey tuxedo suit, with a classic bordo tie and an elegant pair of classic brown leather shoes. As for special wedding accessories, C had a wooden watch with leather wrist band and a white boutonniere, matching the wedding flowers theme: bridal bouquet, chair pew ends in the church and the wedding table centrepieces.
L&C chose to get married in a touching religious wedding ceremony in the nearby Chapel Saint-Joseph, sitting peacefully on Mont – Pélerin, right above the Lac Leman, only a five minute walk from the hotel. We were lucky enough to take a big group photo with a lake view, of all the guests together straight after the ceremony, just right next to the chapel which has beautifully reflected the sunlight on everyone’s faces.
The guests headed to the cocktail hour at the hotel, and we invited L&C to have a quick moment just for the two of them, to enjoy a little couple photo session just above the chapel, with panoramic views of the lake and the vineyards, within only a five minute walk. The results are stunning!
Luckily the weather was amazing which allowed everyone to enjoy the cocktail hour on the open terrace of the hotel, so all the guests got to have beautiful naturally taken portraits. We also took advantage of the soft light and the stunning mountain views, to take a few amazing formal group family photos, so yes, it was one of the most photogenic outdoor receptions we ever had so far.
After a few glasses of good champagne and delicious canapés, all the guests moved to a beautiful hall for a special chinese wedding tea ceremony, a tradition in L’s family, to respect and show L&C’s gratitude towards their parents, new in-laws, and elders by serving them tea. Straight afterwards all the guests were invited to the wedding dinner tables, to enjoy more good food and wedding family speeches.
As the rest of the evening went on, the atmosphere became more and more relaxed, with great food, wine, delicious cream and strawberry wedding cake and uplifting music by DJ. In fact, some of the guests were professional dancers, and led the others to a super fun afterparty…
